Are you a senior accountant with experience in consolidated financial statements and group accounting? Jefferson Wells is now looking for a consultant to join a large public sector organization in Södertälje. In this role, you will work operationally and strategically with group accounting, LKBR (Swedish Public Sector Accounting Standards), and RKR (Recommendations and General Advice for Municipal and Public Sector Accounting), while contributing to the development of working methods and the implementation of system support.

About the assignment – Group accounting and development

As a senior accountant, you will work both operationally and advisory, focusing on consolidated financial statements for a municipal group. The assignment involves responsibility for ensuring quality, structure, and compliance with regulations, as well as contributing to development initiatives within the finance function.

Your tasks include preparing and supporting the work with consolidated financial statements during interim periods and year-end closing, ensuring compliance with LKBR and RKR, quality-assuring and structuring the collection of data from companies and operations, and developing and documenting routines and working methods. You will also contribute to improved analysis and note disclosures, and support the finance function in matters related to group accounting.

Furthermore, you will participate in requirement specification, evaluation, and implementation of system support for group accounting. You will contribute to the design of processes and working methods related to the system, perform testing and quality assurance, and support implementation, documentation, and knowledge transfer. The role also involves contributing to change management related to new working methods.

Profile – Requirements and Meritorious Experience

We are looking for you who are an experienced and independent accountant with solid competence in consolidated financial statements. You work in a structured manner, have good analytical skills, and thrive in a role that combines operational work with development.

Requirements:

• Documented experience in consolidated financial statements or group accounting
• Several years of experience in qualified accounting work
• Good knowledge of LKBR and RKR
• Experience working in public or municipal operations
• Experience working in large financial systems

Meritorious:

• Experience in implementing system support for group accounting
• Experience with Unit4 ERP or similar systems
• Experience leading or driving development work within accounting

As a person, you are communicative, pedagogical, and have the ability to contribute to knowledge transfer and the development of working methods.
