The Assignment

As a Special Needs Teacher in the Norrtälje School Social Team, you work consultatively to strengthen schools' ability to meet the needs of students who require extra support to succeed in school.

Your responsibilities will include, among other things:

• providing consultative support to school leaders, student health teams, special needs teachers, and educators,
• analyzing students' school situations and identifying interventions that strengthen attendance, learning, and participation,
• building trusting relationships with students,
• planning, coordinating, and following up on interventions together with schools and other actors,
• leading and participating in collaboration meetings,
• contributing to the development of schools' work on school attendance and early interventions,
• monitoring statistics and using analyses as a basis for development work.

Through the Support and Development Unit, you will have access to a broad network of colleagues with different professions and competencies. Together, we develop working methods that make a difference for students and schools.

What you need to bring to the table

Requirements

• Special Needs Teacher degree with teaching certification.
• Experience working within primary and lower secondary school.
• Good knowledge of school regulations, student health work, as well as work with extra adaptations and special support.
• Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

• Relationship-building and easily creates trusting relationships with students and collaboration partners.
• Analytical and can see connections, identify needs, and turn analyses into concrete interventions.

For this role, the starting salary is normally between 48,000 and 52,000 SEK, depending on experience and competence.

A probationary period may apply for permanent employment.
