Kymlinge School is looking for a qualified special educator with a focus on language, writing, and reading development and/or mathematics
You like structure and are full of ideas. Just like us!
We are looking for you, an experienced, engaged, and positive special educator who loves teaching and developing students' abilities. We can offer a permanent position starting in the autumn of 2026.
Kymlinge School is a highly functional school with a good reputation, good results, academically motivated students, and a positive and engaged staff group. The majority of our students have a cultural background other than Swedish, which gives us many enriching connections to the rest of the world. We see our diversity as a strength and strive to learn from different cultures.
Since its founding in 2014, Kymlinge School has grown from fewer than 100 students to 550 today. We have 65 employees. The school's values are summarized in the word KRAM, which stands for: Knowledge, Respect, Responsibility, and Motivation. Read more about our values on our website.
We place great emphasis on our quality work, as we believe that good and effective routines are an important prerequisite for a well-functioning school.
As a special educator at Kymlinge School, you will primarily meet students who need special support in the learning environment. You work directly with students, individually or in groups, but also together with other teachers and resource pedagogues to create the best conditions for our students' learning and development. The role also involves close collaboration with the students' guardians. You mentor staff on various forms of adaptations, and are responsible for planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of teaching and interventions in collaboration with your colleagues. You contribute your expertise to the creation of pedagogical assessments, action plans, and intervention programs. As a special educator, you are also an important part of the school's student health team and regularly meet with the city's other special educators and special pedagogues at network meetings.
You need to be a qualified special educator with a focus on language, writing, and reading development and/or mathematics. It is a great advantage if you have both specializations. You have the formal competence and a keen sense for what our students need to reach as far as possible based on their prerequisites and the goals of education. You are confident in your role and have the courage to make independent decisions while valuing collaboration. As a person, you are sensitive, results-oriented, and work methodically to meet deadlines and complete projects. You build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and communicate with clarity and warmth. You are unpretentious, solution-focused, and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves or think outside the box when it comes to finding the right learning environment for our students.
We place great importance on your personal qualities.
Apply by May 13th. We do not accept applications via email. The position is a permanent full-time employment (100%). Start date August 2026. Prior to employment, the employer will request that you show an extract from the police record.
Welcome with your application!
