About the role and the unit

The preschool units of the Ulvsättra department are located in Kallhäll and Stäket and include the preschools Ulvsättra, Bolinder, Kopparvägen, Almarevägen, as well as the Open Preschool in Kallhäll. The unit consists of approximately 355 children and 65 employees. We offer an inspiring and developmental operation with positive and engaged work teams. In our operations, all education and teaching is permeated by a language-developing approach where language and communication form a central foundation for our work. We work systematically with our learning environments to ensure they promote both play and learning.

Over the past two years, we have implemented a new focus area for the entire unit, which we call "Children in Motion". The purpose is to capitalize on children's joy of movement, partly through heart-pumping activities and planned outdoor pedagogy. The goal is to increase children's physical and mental well-being. In the recruitment process, we place great emphasis on your experience and knowledge regarding outdoor pedagogy and children's physical movement activities.

Responsibilities

You collaborate and communicate with your colleagues and create a pedagogical learning environment that challenges and stimulates children's development and learning, while ensuring that children are offered secure care. The pedagogical operation is based on each child's prerequisites and builds on teaching that is designed in accordance with the curriculum's goals. You organize the work from a holistic perspective, where children's development and learning are continuously and systematically followed, documented, and analyzed to ensure quality.

You systematically reflect on the practical work, individually and together with others, and keep yourself updated and take advantage of new research and events in the surrounding world. You are a clear and inspiring leader who handles changed situations and the actions of different people. It is important that you create a good relationship with children, guardians, and colleagues, characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach, as well as positive expectations.

Quality strategy

In Järfälla, we have developed a strategy for increased quality in Järfälla's preschools. It is divided into four strategic areas:

• Competence in all levels of the preschool (one of the sub-goals is at least one preschool teacher per 15 children)
• Organize the preschool so that conditions exist to promote learning and security
• Arouse children's curiosity and desire to learn
• An active quality work in the preschool

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The position requires good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. Probationary employment may be applied. An extract from the criminal record is required for work in preschools and schools.
