About the job

The Unit for Mother Tongue and Reception of Newly Arrived Pupils receives newly arrived pupils, organizes study guidance in the mother tongue, and provides mother tongue instruction for approximately 1,900 pupils from municipal and independent primary and secondary schools in Täby Municipality. We work professionally with the pupil in focus, based on the democratic values of the Swedish school system. We have a pleasant atmosphere, a developing work environment, great commitment, and high ambitions to ensure that the municipality's pupils receive the best possible education. Your duties involve acting as a link between the home, the school, and the unit. You use your mother tongue when teaching the mother tongue subject and in study guidance. You participate in the reception conversation when we meet newly arrived pupils.

As a mother tongue teacher, you travel to different schools. While public transport is available between schools, having access to a personal car makes commuting easier.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• has Spanish as their mother tongue
• expresses themselves well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• has teacher training or higher education
• has experience with bilingual education
• is well-versed in the regulatory documents governing education and can translate them into meaningful learning

As a person, you are responsible, structured, have a holistic perspective, and offer professional interaction. With commitment and the ability to work both independently and in a team, you find solutions to provide education for all your pupils under current conditions. We use digital tools in our work, and we appreciate that you are curious and experienced with IT.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and teamwork skills.

A teaching license is desirable and considered an advantage.
