We are now looking for an engaged and certified special needs teacher for our school in Sundbyberg

We are looking for you who are passionate about special pedagogy, believe that every student can succeed and has the opportunity to reach their full potential. You are interested in developing and participating in the latest research regarding individualized learning. You enjoy working with students from diverse backgrounds as we are a multicultural school. You share IES values and believe that a safe school environment is the foundation for learning. As a person, you are independent but enjoy collaborating with others towards common goals, always striving to find the right tools and solutions for our students. Part of your team will speak English, so it is important that you can communicate in both Swedish and English.

You will work closely with the student health team, our Academic Manager, and the two deputy principals. You will be part of the SEN team (Special Educational Needs team). Your direct manager will be our Academic Manager, who supports you in your role.

Responsibilities

• Work with students individually, in groups, and support in whole-class settings.
• Documentation in the ProRenata platform and in the form of pedagogical investigations, as well as writing action plans based on student needs.
• Work individually with students with special needs and students with problematic school absenteeism.
• Communication with external actors.
• Visit lessons and provide guidance and support to teachers for students with individual adjustments.
• Participate in meetings with guardians and other stakeholders for the benefit of the student.

Experience and Knowledge

• Share IES values.
• Certified special needs teacher according to the Swedish National Agency for Education.
• Experience in writing action plans.
• Experience working with students with diagnoses and problematic school absenteeism.
• Experience in mapping student needs.
• Fluent Swedish and ability to communicate in English.
