Innovation platform Agtech Sweden is expanding and is now looking for coordinators to join its team.

About the job

Agtech Sweden, led by Linköping University, is a national innovation platform focused on developing technology for sustainable agriculture. Main funders are Vinnova, Linköping University, and Region Östergötland, but significant funding also comes from companies. Today, approximately 170 companies and organizations are part of Agtech Sweden, and new partners are joining constantly. The core of the activity is working on innovation projects, and so far, approximately 150 innovation projects have been conducted. Just as important as the innovation projects is stimulating people to take an interest in agricultural technology. Therefore, Agtech Sweden invests in a broad range of initiatives and activities such as events, courses, seminars, etc. Within Linköping University, several departments with different subject orientations participate.

Agtech Sweden's operations have grown significantly, and we therefore need reinforcement for our team in the form of one or more people who can help the business leaders with coaching and coordinating innovation projects, carrying out events we arrange, and contributing to the external communication of the activity, etc. The project partners working on innovation projects within Agtech Sweden are represented by both technology companies, academia, and agricultural businesses. The coordinator may need to visit farms and other companies where innovation projects are being driven. The assignment may also involve travel and participation in international trade fairs.

About you

We are looking for you who have an interest in agriculture, food production, and sustainability. You have a very good ability to communicate as well as to create and maintain good relationships. This includes the ability to adapt dialogues in a way that works in different contexts. The assignments require the ability to express yourself orally and in writing in both Swedish and English.

The work places high demands on planning, organizational, and strategic skills and is intensive at times. Therefore, you must be able to juggle many balls at the same time.

We want you to have:

• Documented experience of administration or project management in complex operations or important events such as delegation visits.
• Documented experience of creating contacts and building networks, or alternatively, documented experience of communicating orally and in writing via different channels.
• Documented ability to write Swedish and English texts in a professional manner.
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

It is meritorious if you have:

• Practical experience in an agricultural company, agricultural machinery company, or other technology-related company with a direct connection to (or potential within) agriculture.
• Experience of business contacts, contacts with politicians, and/or public officials.
• Experience of arranging conferences or trade fairs.
• Good knowledge of the Office package (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Your workplace

Linköping University (LiU) has a diversity of education and successful research in many different areas. Furthermore, the university has many platforms that involve collaboration with business life. The university has always had a particularly strong technology profile, e.g., within AI.

Agtech Sweden today has an established organization with approximately 15 people in different roles and a well-established structure. The activity works across LiU but is based at the Department of Economics and Industrial Development and the Division of Business Administration. About the employment

We are looking for one or more people who can work 40 – 100% within Agtech Sweden. The employment will be in project form for five months, with the possibility of eventual extension. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.
