About the job
As an Administrator, your task is to provide professional and purposeful administrative support for HMV (School of Health, Medicine and Caring Sciences) based on the unit's needs. Your duties as a Department Administrator are highly varied. This involves providing administrative support to the department with department-specific issues, as well as acting as management support for the Department Head and Unit Manager. You will support the managers with, among other things, coordinating meetings and documentation. Department-specific issues include responsibility for meetings, doctoral defenses, orders, conference and travel bookings, as well as participating in the introduction of new employees. Cross-functional tasks may also occur. As a Department Administrator, you work closely with managers and staff and are the natural point of contact for administrative matters. Our operations are dynamic, and your tasks may change over time.
About you
We are looking for you who have at least a three-year upper secondary education, preferably with additional vocational training or higher education studies in an administrative field. Experience of qualified and independent administrative work within the higher education sector/public authority is a requirement. We work in many different administrative systems which change and are updated over time. It is therefore important that you have experience and a strong interest in working with relevant administrative IT systems and are confident in and enjoy working with new systems. We assume that you have good knowledge of the Office package and that you master Swedish and English in both speech and writing, as we operate in an international environment regarding both students and staff.
The work requires that you are easy to collaborate with and have good communicative and pedagogical skills. The tasks require that you have self-drive and take initiative based on the operational needs, a service-oriented and flexible approach, are meticulous, and have the ability to adapt the work to the operational and team's assignments and deadlines. This also means that as an administrator with us, you have the ability to handle work peaks efficiently while simultaneously having the ability to plan and prepare so that work peaks become manageable. Our way of working is based on the operational needs, and we strive for common routines that enable backup and teamwork. We are an organization in constant development, so as a person, you need to feel that you gain energy from being part of improvement and change work.

You will belong to VS (https://liu.se/organisation/liu/hmv/vs) at the School of Health, Medicine and Caring Sciences (HMV), located at Campus US in Linköping, where you are surrounded by competent colleagues and have a large network of administrators to collaborate with.
