The International Secretariat at the Agency Headquarters of the Swedish Migration Agency is looking for an expert with knowledge of and experience in the European Migration Network (EMN).

Description

The EMN is a network funded by the European Commission, bringing together experts who work together to provide EU institutions, as well as authorities and institutions in member states, with current, objective, reliable, and comparable information on migration and asylum issues to support policy development in the area. The information provided by the EMN is also directed at the general public. The EMN consists of national contact points in EU member states, except Denmark, as well as in a number of observer countries. The Swedish Migration Agency is the Swedish contact point. Job Responsibilities

Your main tasks will consist of working with various types of comparative studies. You are expected to be able to collect, analyze, and present high-quality data and information from both the Swedish Migration Agency, the Government Offices, and other authorities. Your work will become part of Sweden's contribution to the EMN's comparative publications. You will also present reports and share other relevant information at various events, such as conferences and workshops. In your role, you will also plan and participate in conferences and other larger gatherings and events.

You who apply have

• An academic education of at least 120 hp with a legal, social science, or behavioral science focus
• Good knowledge of and current experience of working within the European Migration Network (EMN)
• Experience of international work or work with international organizations
• Very good ability to express yourself orally and in writing, in Swedish and English

Meritorious

• Experience of working in the Swedish Migration Agency's examination processes
• Experience of working with the EMN Information Exchange System (IES)
• Knowledge of and experience with integration issues

We plan to conduct interviews during week 27 and week 28.

Employment type: Permanent with probationary period

Working hours: Office hours (evening commitments may occur, e.g., during international visits and/or travel) Travel is part of the job.

Start date: As soon as possible according to agreement
