Do you want to work as a teacher at a resource-rich school in a nature-oriented environment?

Naturbruksskolan Svenljunga is located on the outskirts of the Svenljunga community, close to nature, forests, and land, yet only three miles from Borås. Here, the workforce of tomorrow is trained in two expanding industries – forestry and nature tourism. The school offers the Forestry Program at the upper secondary level, university college programs, and adult education (KOMVUX). We are a resource-rich school with just over 150 students in upper secondary school, featuring dedicated staff, short decision-making paths, and great opportunities to influence. Our goal is to stay at the forefront, and we were the first forestry school in southern Sweden to be certified as a Technology College.

Responsibilities

• Teaching in relevant subjects such as forestry and forest management, as well as practical lessons on chainsaws and brush cutters across all school forms offered at the school, including responsibility for and maintenance of school equipment.
• You will collaborate and work together with other teachers in the work team and at the school.

The work also involves external contacts, such as workplace-based learning (APL) visits and contact with students' guardians. There is also the opportunity to engage in projects and exchanges or participate in various projects through our competence center.

The teaching role gives you the opportunity to combine professional knowledge with pedagogical work. You will become an important person in creating good conditions for students' future lives.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a Forestry Engineer/Forester or have equivalent education or competence. You will have access to modern technology and are expected to use it in your teaching.

You are or have the prerequisites to become a certified vocational teacher for upper secondary school.

You should have a strong interest in teaching young people and want to ensure that all students are given the opportunity to develop based on their abilities. You are pedagogically inclined and can meet students both individually and in groups. You are flexible, goal-oriented, and take initiative. You are good at collaborating and have a professional attitude. Since you are part of a work team with various subject competencies, we would appreciate it if you could work in an integrated subject manner to create a holistic experience for the student.

Requirement of a B-driver's license (manual transmission). BE/D/E driver's licenses are meritorious.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Conditions

Permanent position at 100 percent with start date August 2026. Holiday service. To obtain employment within the school, a certificate of good conduct is required, which you apply for at polisen.se
