Önneredsskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) in western Gothenburg, located in a beautiful natural area with close access to forests and the sea. Our proximity to nature allows us to offer students various environments to enhance learning.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a teacher to instruct English for grades 7-9 and French for grades 6-9.

As a teacher at Önneredsskolan, you are passionate about teaching and guiding students toward set goals according to the current curriculum. Your teaching is structured; you follow up on and analyze your teaching methods and student results. In your professional role, you are responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.

Among us, subject teachers collaborate closely and support each other in planning instruction and assessment to ensure equity. It also brings a sense of security and makes the job more enjoyable when done together!

Your duties also include being a mentor. Önneredsskolan 7-9 has six parallel classes in each grade level. We have two mentors in each class, and in our role as mentors, we work together to create the best conditions for students to thrive, develop, and feel secure. The staff in each grade level is divided into work groups that meet once a week. Resource personnel and a representative from the school's student health team also attend these meetings.

Qualifications

You, the applicant, are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach English in grades 7-9 and French in grades 6-9. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents. You have good knowledge of and a preference for working with digital learning materials in teaching.

As a person, you are receptive and have strong collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and parents. You are creative, flexible, and capable of taking initiative.
