Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a preschool teacher for our lovely preschool, located in a nature-friendly and inspiring environment. We offer a six-month temporary position with the possibility of extension.

The preschool has eight departments, one of which is Finnish-speaking. At our preschool, we work based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy. This means a project-oriented and exploratory approach where we learn together with the children. The children's curiosity, interests, and participation are the foundation of our work. Based on this approach, we create thoughtful learning environments that support the children's exploration. In our teaching, we use both unstructured and structured materials. Through pedagogical documentation, we make the children's learning processes visible and develop the operations together.

Our core values are participation, curiosity, welcoming, and togetherness. We create an inclusive preschool with a democratic approach. Here, every child has the opportunity to develop and express their thoughts. Here, you become part of a dedicated team that sees opportunities and supports each other. You lead the pedagogical work together with colleagues in a dedicated team. Together, you plan, implement, document, and follow up on the education based on the preschool curriculum. Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed preschool teacher
• has good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• has good knowledge of using digital tools in work

You take responsibility for both your own and the team's tasks and contribute to good collaboration.

You build trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. You are also responsive in your interactions and show respect and care for others.

You understand that children have different prerequisites and absorb knowledge in different ways. Based on this, you create a safe and developmental environment where every child has the opportunity to develop at their own pace.

It is meritorious if you have experience working in a Reggio Emilia-inspired manner. However, the most important thing is that you are communicative and have a desire and interest in working project-based and exploratory in the preschool. You also need to have a desire and interest in developing accessible learning environments both indoors and outdoors that promote children's creativity and learning and contribute to the pedagogical philosophy. Therefore, we also welcome recent graduates to apply.

You need to have the possibility to both open and close, which is why you need to be able to work according to our rolling six-week schedule. We prioritize applications from those who can start on August 3, 2026.
