Description
Lerlyckeskolan is located in a quiet residential area in central Lundby, close to several green spaces, including Hisingsparken. The school serves students from preschool class to year 6. We also offer after-school activities in our five after-school centers. We have just over 370 students and approximately 45 employees. We make good use of our nature-friendly location and use the forest as both a learning and play environment.
At Lerlyckeskolan, we work on the principle that all students are the responsibility of all adults. We believe that everyone has the right to their own experience. We listen to each other and speak with each other, not about each other. We help each other, assume good intentions, and resolve any misunderstandings. This applies to everyone – both adults and students.
We are now looking for you who are a certified teacher with further education as a special needs educator (specialpedagog).
Responsibilities
As a special needs educator with us, you work at the organizational, group, and individual levels to create and develop learning environments that support all students' development towards the school's knowledge goals. At all levels, you work with promoting, preventive, and remedial measures.
You are part of a student health team where, together with the school's other professionals, principal, deputy principal, psychologist, counselor, speech therapist, and school nurse, you work to support and strengthen the students' learning and development. You will also be part of a larger context where all professionals within the student health teams from school area Hisingen 17, Lerlyckeskolan, Toleredsskolan, and Kärrdansskolan, meet four times per term. The purpose of these meetings is to jointly develop preventive and promoting student health work across the entire school area.
Together with the student health team and other colleagues, you conduct assessments and investigations to identify and meet students' needs for special support. Furthermore, you help formulate action plans and conduct teaching based on what is written in the action plans. Some collaboration with external actors may also occur.
You will work with several digital systems, including Vklass, which is the school's learning platform, and PMO.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with further education as a special needs educator. Experience working as a special needs educator is meritorious. Experience with the digital systems PMO and Vklass is also meritorious.
You find it easy to collaborate with and mentor teachers to create conditions for every student to develop. Encouraging participation, openness, and tolerance is seen as a given. It is important that you can work independently within guidelines and practice and that you can recommend measures, document, and participate in decisions.
We also see that you promote a respectful work climate and create good relationships with colleagues as well as students and guardians. You do this by being open and accommodating and by listening to your surroundings to understand their needs.
Furthermore, you have the ability to remain stable under pressure, where you can balance different demands and maintain a positive attitude. Continuous development of the operations takes place here, so we would like you to contribute new ideas and perspectives in work-related issues and challenge methods, ways of working, and mindsets.
