Lerlyckeskolan is located in a quiet residential area in central Lundby, close to several green spaces, including Hisingsparken. The school serves students from preschool class (F-0) to grade 6. We also offer after-school activities in our five after-school centers. We have just over 370 students and approximately 45 employees. We gladly utilize our nature-friendly location and use the forest as both a learning and play environment.

We are now looking for you who are a special needs teacher (speciallärare) with the qualification to teach grades 1-6!

Job Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher with us, you work closely with students, teachers, and the student health team to support students' knowledge development and create good conditions for learning. You work primarily at the group and individual levels, but also contribute at the organizational level through your special pedagogical competence in the school's development work.

The role includes planning, implementing, and following up on teaching for students in need of special support, both individually and in small groups. You work with targeted interventions based on students' needs and in close collaboration with teaching teachers. Through mapping, analysis, and follow-ups, you contribute to making students' strengths, needs, and progression visible.

You are part of a student health team where you, together with the school's other professionals, principal, deputy principal, special educator, psychologist, counselor, speech therapist, and school nurse, work to support and strengthen students' learning and development. You will also be part of a larger context where all professionals within the student health teams from school area 17, Lerlyckeskolan, Toleredsskolan, and Kärrdansskolan, meet four times per term. The purpose of these meetings is to jointly develop preventive and promoting student health work across the entire school area.

Together with the student health team and other colleagues, you participate in mapping and investigations to identify and meet students' needs for special support. You also contribute to formulating, implementing, and following up action plans, and are responsible for teaching interventions based on what is written in these plans. Some collaboration with external actors may also occur.

You will work with several digital systems, including Vklass, which is the school's learning platform, and PMO.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated and licensed as a special needs teacher with the qualification to teach grades 1-6. Previous experience as a special needs teacher is an advantage.
