About the Workplace

Dalstorp School is a grades F-6 school with approximately 130 students, located in the heart of Dalstorp. Here we work in an environment where safety, trust, and close relationships are the foundation for the students' development. The school is located close to nature, which provides fantastic opportunities for outdoor pedagogy and movement during the school day.

Responsibilities

As a student assistant with us, you work in close collaboration with the responsible primary school teacher. You work with one or more students in a class and at the after-school center who need extra support to keep up with the teaching. This may involve helping students with various types of disabilities.

You are engaged, receptive, and focus on the salutogenic aspects of the students. You have the ability to create safety and good relationships. Your main tasks therefore involve helping the student(s) keep up with the teaching and helping them find calm in their studies. In addition, your tasks may include helping the student(s) practice various daily tasks, providing support during breaks, in changing rooms, on excursions, and at the after-school center.

Qualifications

• You have completed upper secondary education and at least two years of documented work experience, including work with children and young people.
• We would like you to have good knowledge of the school's curriculum and other regulatory documents governing the school's operations.
• You must also have an understanding of how different disabilities can affect students' learning, and be able to apply appropriate compensatory strategies in the pedagogical work.
• Knowledge and experience of low-affective handling is a requirement.
• You have a professional attitude and actively work to create and maintain good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues throughout the school organization.

• Working hours: Daytime.
