Are you looking for an administrative role with variety? Then we might be looking for you! Östersund Municipality is now recruiting two administrators for the Authority Unit within the Health and Care Administration.

The Health and Care Administration is the largest of seven administrations in Östersund Municipality, and at the Authority Unit, 37 employees work in various positions. The unit is primarily responsible for the exercise of authority according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments (LSS). There is a genuine care for those we work for, our citizens, where we strive to give them better conditions for health and well-being. Legal certainty and professional treatment are fundamental values for the unit's operations.

As an administrator at the Authority Unit, you will have a key role in creating structure and relieving caseworkers and managers who work with the unit's core issues. We are a team with strong cohesion among colleagues, and collegial support is a natural part of our daily work. Your new workplace is located in the Health and Care Administration's newly renovated premises at Sollidenvägen 64B, where we work in a special security zone with an activity-based working method. We have annual working hours, and the working times are office hours, Monday to Friday.

The positions are permanent full-time appointments with a start date at the end of summer or as agreed.

Your new job

In your work, the main task is to relieve caseworkers and managers with tasks that lie outside the unit's core operations, freeing up time for caseworkers and managers to conduct well-founded and legally secure investigations, decisions, and follow-ups. The tasks include, for example, mail handling, archiving, purchasing, and responsibility for cars, bicycles, and IT equipment. The position also includes answering questions from citizens, participating in various working groups, and simpler case processing.

You will, together with your colleague, be responsible for continuing to build a functioning structure for the various administrative chores in the operations. In other words, a varied role with many different tasks, responsibilities, and the opportunity to develop and organize the job yourself!

Your qualifications

Requirements

  • Upper secondary education
  • Previous work experience in administrative tasks
  • Category B driver's license
  • High level of computer proficiency
  • Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both orally and in writing

Merits

  • Experience of previous administrative tasks within public administration
  • Knowledge of the Social Services Act, LSS, public access and secrecy legislation, and the Administrative Procedure Act

We are looking for you

We are looking for an energetic and service-oriented person who invests time, commitment, and focus to achieve good results. You want to help others and strive to deliver solutions. You should be flexible and proactive, and have an easy time adapting when conditions change. You work in a structured manner where you plan and organize efficiently and meet set deadlines even when the pace is high. In the role, you collaborate with both colleagues and citizens and other authorities, and therefore it is important that you can communicate in a listening and smooth manner.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

We warmly welcome you to apply to us!

How the recruitment process works

Interviews may take place on an ongoing basis. We want you to attach a CV and a cover letter to your application. Grades/certificates do not need to be sent with it. We ask you to complete this if an interview becomes relevant.
