The goal of the activity is to create conditions for people with visual impairment or blindness to live a good life and be active participants in society according to their own wishes.

Your Role

Here you will work in an interdisciplinary team consisting of vision educators, optometrists, social workers, technicians, and medical secretaries. We base our work on the unique needs of patients and relatives for coordinated rehabilitation efforts.

The position is full-time (100%), but part-time is possible. Working hours are weekdays during office hours with flexible time options.

Responsibilities

You will work together with the team at Syncentralen on the following tasks:

• Standard secretarial duties.
• Scheduling and booking of patients as well as handling timebooks.
• Main responsibility for telephone hours (1 hour/day, Monday–Thursday), including daily monitoring of 1177 and the answering machine.
• Handling referrals.
• Responsible for invoicing of glasses, contact lenses, and aids, as well as allocation and delivery control of invoices.
• Work with registration and follow-up of quality registers.
• Participation as a contact person for SKRS and the National Care Process.
• Telephone mapping prior to patient visits with optometrists, vision educators, technicians, and social workers.
• Work with fitting of spectacle frames for children with prescriptions and adjustment of glasses may occur.

The medical record system we use is Cosmic.

As we are a small clinic, we work together across boundaries to reduce vulnerability.

Requirements:

• Education as a medical secretary.
