Do you want to brighten up everyday life and improve the quality of life for the residents of Linköping? With us, you can make a significant difference and contribute to making Linköping a better place. Welcome to our team!
Your responsibilities
As a special needs teacher (specialpedagog), you have the overall picture of the operations regarding pedagogical mapping of individual students and student groups in need of special support. You create and follow up on action plans at both group and individual levels, and you mentor and support work teams in their methods and approaches. You also support the development of operations and the creation of learning environments where development and learning benefit all students.
The special needs teacher acts at the individual level, as well as at the group and organizational levels, depending on needs and local adaptations. As part of the student health team, the special needs teacher serves as a conversation partner and advisor for students, colleagues, the principal, guardians, and other relevant parties regarding both support services and pedagogical issues. The role also involves participating in competence development, keeping up with current theory and research, and sharing this knowledge with colleagues at the school(s).
Your workplace
Ljungsbro School is a grades 7-9 school located in central Ljungsbro, just over 10 km from Linköping city center. Our vision is that through challenges, curiosity, and good relationships, we want to learn more. The school has just over 300 students in grades 7-9, with approximately 20 students per class. The school's approx. 50 employees are constantly working to develop teaching to maximize student learning. The student's best interest is always in focus, and the operations are characterized by commitment, creativity, dynamism, and joy.
As an employee here, you will have helpful colleagues who are happy to go the extra mile to enjoy working together. Our strong collaboration is enabled through clear structures and forums where colleagues meet. For example, we have a joint conference once a month where the whole school meets to address common issues, and a collaboration time in everyone's calendar once a week. We have a trusting environment where you are encouraged to try new things and find your way in your professional role, regardless of whether you have experience or are new to the role.
The school has a well-developed student health team, and we are a mobile-phone-free school throughout the entire school day.
You who apply
We are looking for you who have a teaching license for grades 7-9 and have completed education as a special needs teacher. Alternatively, you are currently studying to become a special needs teacher.

It is meritorious if you have experience working with special needs support or in a student health team (EHT). It is also meritorious if you have experience teaching students in special education groups or other experience with students in need of special support.
You have good communicative skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is required so that, according to the curriculum, you can organize and carry out work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development.
You create inclusion and have good collaboration skills. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts effectively.
