Our vision for the work in the after-school center is to work on larger projects based on the curriculum. In these longer projects, we will try a variety of activities, for example, aesthetic creation, outdoor activities, rest, and practical learning, which are linked together in a theme.

We offer a wide variety of activities so that all students feel that there is something for them. We work to ensure that the after-school center is a safe place where all students have the opportunity to develop together.

At Svärtinge Skogsbacke School, you will work in an after-school center with many experienced and driven after-school teachers.

Your tasks

As an after-school teacher, you work with our students in grades F-6. You belong to a work team where you, together with the school's other after-school teachers and after-school educators, are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the after-school center's activities.

As an after-school teacher, you have the main responsibility for running the after-school center and developing the activities, which also includes the school's break activities. You collaborate in the work team to develop the after-school center's activities to become an important and learning part of the students' entire school day and for their development towards the goals.

Your assignment also includes teaching music, as well as, based on your competence as an after-school teacher, supporting the students in their development and learning both during lesson time and at the after-school center.

You take overall responsibility for the activities and the students, with a clear focus on school development.

Who are you?

We are now looking for you who want to be part of our fantastic after-school center and who are a certified after-school teacher with the qualification to teach music, art, or physical education.

You are a clear leader and have an easy time building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. You see school development as a natural part of your work. You have a desire to develop yourself in your work and are well-versed in the school's guiding documents.

As a person, you work well with other people, are creative, proactive, and structured. You are calm and stable and have a flexible way of working. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and take great responsibility for your tasks.

We want you to see opportunities in changes and have a positive and accommodating attitude. The work also requires pedagogical insight to meet students in need of special support, an advanced knowledge of interaction that promotes students' learning and development.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.
