About the Job

We are seeking hourly-paid teaching assistants who, as needed and upon agreement, will assist course coordinators in one or more of the courses offered by the Civil Engineering Programme during the autumn term of 2026 and the spring term of 2027.

The duties primarily involve, upon agreement, supervision during laboratory sessions and mentoring in connection with lectures, as well as some distance supervision outside of lecture hours. The duties may also include simpler forms of administration and coordination within the undergraduate education.

About You

The hourly-paid position is directly linked to the undergraduate courses offered by the Department of Science and Technology at Linköping University. The tasks are varied and may arise with short notice, requiring flexibility and availability at the university. You should be responsible, detail-oriented, possess pedagogical skills, and have an interest in the subject area.

A requirement for obtaining an hourly-paid position as a teaching assistant is that you can provide documentation showing that you are studying at a university level or that you have begun your advanced-level studies. For this position, we prefer that you are a student in civil engineering or a related educational program, preferably at Linköping University. It is also an advantage if you are available for assignments until June 2027.

About the Employment

This refers to an hourly-paid position as a teaching assistant. The scope of tasks and start date will be determined by agreement.

Employment as a teaching assistant is regulated in Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance.

Salary and Benefits

Salary according to LiU's central agreement on teaching assistant salaries, currently 159.70 SEK/hour.
