We are now looking for 3–6 teaching assistants for the Division of Vehicle Systems.

About the job

Your duties will consist of teaching and/or laboratory supervision within the division, primarily in electric power courses.

Additional duties may occur by agreement. The duties include supporting students' learning in the subject area during practical sessions, as well as acting as a teacher during lectures. Preparation work and any follow-up work are included in the duties.

About you

To be employed as a teaching assistant, you must be admitted to a university-level programme at either first or second cycle level.

You must also have completed the course TSFS16 – Electric Power Engineering or equivalent. Advanced courses in the field of electric power are meritorious.

As a person, you are structured, well-organized, and interested in pedagogy. You have the ability to work independently as well as in teaching teams. Furthermore, you should have a creative approach to problem-solving and demonstrate good communication skills. Experience in pedagogical work is meritorious.

The Division of Vehicle Systems conducts research as well as undergraduate and graduate education in autonomous systems, electrification, battery systems, diagnostics and prognostics, and modeling and control of vehicle functions. About the employment

The employment is for temporary work during the autumn term 2026, with the possibility of extension under certain conditions. The employment is hourly paid.

A teaching assistant may be employed for a maximum of 50% of full-time, and the total employment period may not exceed 3 years according to Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance.
