About the job

We are looking for up to 10 teaching assistants (teaching assistants/amanuenses), who, as needed and agreed upon, will assist course coordinators in their learning activities. The teaching tasks may involve lecturing, supervision in computer labs or during laboratory exercises, and other tasks, including grading reports, quizzes, etc.

About you

To be employed as a teaching assistant, you must be admitted to a university-level education at the first-cycle or second-cycle level.

A requirement for the assignment is that you have passed relevant courses offered by the Division of Fluid and Thermal Engineering at LiU (or equivalent at other universities). The tasks are varied and may arise with short notice, which requires flexibility and that you are available at the university during the autumn of 2026.

Merits for this position include documented good subject knowledge in the areas covered by the relevant courses, as well as previous teaching experience. You should also be responsible, meticulous, possess pedagogical skills, and be interested in the subject area. It is also advantageous if you are available for teaching assignments during the spring of 2026.

Your workplace

You will work at the Division of Fluid and Thermal Engineering (MVS), which is connected to the Department of Science and Technology (ITN) and the Faculty of Science and Engineering (LiTH). The division offers a wide range of courses at both basic and advanced levels across several educational programs at Linköping University (LiU).

Employment as a teaching assistant is regulated in Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance.

Salary and benefits

Salary according to LiU's central agreement on teaching assistant salaries. The employment is hourly paid.
