Bjäkenbacken School is a primary school (grades F-6) with approximately 170 students. Here, you will find two after-school care departments, and our staff possesses the will, drive, and competence for the work we do and for continuous development. We are located close to nature and focus on various physical activities, primarily outdoors. Forest is located in close proximity to the school and is available as a learning environment. Bjäkenbacken School is situated in the village of Östnor, a few kilometers outside central Mora.

Description

We are looking for teachers for grades 4-6 at Bjäkenbacken School. The position(s) are primarily fixed-term substitute positions for the academic year 2026-2027, but may be extended. As a teacher with us, you are part of a work team where students' learning and development are always the focus. The work involves teaching in the intermediate grades. We are located close to nature and offer many different physical activities, primarily outdoors. Forest is located in close proximity to the school and is available as a learning environment.

Responsibilities

The work involves planning, teaching, and shared class teacher responsibility in the intermediate grades. You are part of the intermediate grades' work team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach grades 4-6.

You have a teaching degree, preferably with broad qualifications. You have good knowledge of the school's steering documents and the ability to implement them in your work. The assignment requires good leadership skills, high social competence, and communicative ability. You are a person who is calm and confident in yourself and has a low-affective approach. You are flexible, service-oriented, and solution-focused. You have the ability to independently plan, teach, and follow up on the work, while also accepting guidance and following established structures.

You have a relationship-building ability and build trusting contacts with students, colleagues, and guardians. With sensitivity and clear communication, you create good collaborations and a safe learning environment where students feel seen and receive the right support. Your pedagogical insight is well-developed, and you have a good understanding of learning processes. Through professional assessments, reflection, and follow-up, you contribute to strengthening both the student's development and the school's joint work.

Requirements

  • Certified teacher for grades 4-6.
  • Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
