Do you want to work in an international environment with colleagues from all over the world? International English School (IES) in Falun is a grades 4–9 comprehensive school that opened in 2014. We are a bilingual school where English and Swedish are used in daily teaching. We focus on a safe school environment, language development, and giving our students the opportunity to reach their full potential.
In your role as a student assistant, you work as a resource for individual students. You provide support during lessons, breaks, transitions between lessons and activities, and assist individual students based on their specific needs. In your work, you are responsible for ensuring that the student feels motivated to learn and is actively involved in their learning process according to their own prerequisites. It is important in this role to recognize the student's individual needs, consider their personal circumstances, and help them grow and develop. The role also requires the ability to adapt teaching situations to different learning objectives. Key parts of the job include proactive safety work, stimulating the student's development and learning, social competence, peer relationships, and contributing to a democratic approach.
We are looking for you who have vocational training as a student assistant. Professional experience in pedagogical work in a school setting is considered an advantage. You have good computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. We value good collaboration skills and the ability to build relationships in your profession. The ability to be structured and quality-conscious are also important traits. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and low-affective handling, as well as previous experience working with students with special needs.
You appreciate a varied work situation and adapt easily to changing circumstances. We value good collaboration skills, structure, and quality consciousness in your professional approach. You have the ability to build good relationships and maintain a positive attitude towards children, parents, and colleagues.
