Qualified Teacher in Craft and Design (Textiles) for Forssaängskolan, Borlänge

Forssaängskolan is a primary school (grades F-6) with 350 students located in the Forssa district of Borlänge. Here, a wonderful, solution-oriented, driven, and engaged team of 50 people works with a focus on good teaching, study environment, and a strong belief in students' abilities. We have a structured quality work process where set goals guide the work in both large and small processes. Goal setting, follow-up, and evaluation are a natural part of the work in year groups and work teams. We have four lead teachers and three work team leaders who, together with all staff and school management, drive development work forward with a focus on teaching.

Forssaängskolan is a partner school to Dalarna University, which means we host teacher students during their practicum (VFU). AIL students also work within the operations.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for you who are a qualified teacher with eligibility in Craft and Design (Slöjd). You will teach textile crafts. The work includes planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up as well as evaluation of the operations according to decided goals and guidelines; therefore, it is important that you are well-versed in the school's governing documents. In addition to teaching the subject of Craft and Design, the role involves developing textile crafts teaching together with the school's teachers.

In our work teams, we have a lively dialogue and structured work regarding how we develop our pedagogical operations to ensure high goal achievement among our students. In addition to teaching, the role includes other tasks occurring at the school.

Qualifications

Basic requirements for the position:

• Qualified teacher with eligibility in Craft and Design (Slöjd).
• Very good oral and written skills in Swedish.

Personal qualities:

As a person, you are structured and have a well-developed communicative ability. You lead and organize your work with creativity, clarity, and good communication. You create a creative and safe learning environment with high, clear, and positive expectations for your students. You have a strong student focus and are skilled at building relationships with people in general, and with children and young people in particular. For us, it is important that you have a deep understanding of students' differences in both their learning and their behavior. Based on this understanding, you meet students with clarity, warmth, and high positive expectations. Knowledge and understanding of NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) are required. You are interested in school development and are stimulated by working with follow-up and evaluation together with colleagues.

Meritorious qualifications:
