Our schools are located in the northern part of Avesta Municipality, close to green areas. The schools have after-school centers and maintain close collaboration with preschools. We work consciously and systematically with school development, both short-term and long-term. We believe that collaboration and collegial learning are the keys to raising and strengthening the competence of our staff at Johan-Olovskolan and By School. Therefore, our staff members are part of work teams and subject groups, where each person plays an important role in our joint effort to develop school operations.

About the position

By School and Johan-Olovskolan are looking for a PE teacher. The position involves responsibility for teaching physical education and health at two schools, primarily in grades 1–6. As a PE teacher, you will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching individually and together with colleagues in work teams. An important part of the job is to systematically follow students' knowledge development, both formatively and summatively, according to current guidelines. The duties include collaborating with other teachers and school staff to contribute to our schools' focus on movement. You should ensure that adaptations are a natural part of your teaching practice based on the different needs and prerequisites of our students.

We are looking for someone who is communicative and has the ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and other actors around the student. Your pedagogical strength lies in your ability to adapt teaching based on results, follow-up evaluations, and the individual student's needs. To achieve this, you need to have a good understanding of how different people absorb information and knowledge, as well as the ability to adapt your teaching style at both group and individual levels.

A teaching license is required for a permanent position. Other pedagogically oriented degrees and/or experience working as a PE teacher at the primary school level are meritorious.
