Mockfjärdsskolan is a school located close to nature, offering excellent opportunities for many outdoor activities. Every day, over 400 students receive their education at the school. The students are distributed across grades F–9, and we have an after-school center with approximately 120 enrolled children. In the same building, you will also find the municipality's adapted primary school, a school and public library, as well as the IM program for upper secondary school.

At Mockfjärdsskolan, good relationships, knowledge, and optimism for the future are core principles. It is also important to note that Gagnefs Municipality places great value on promoting and preventive measures aimed at creating a good learning environment for all students.

The school's student health team consists of school nurses, special education teachers, special needs teachers, school counselors, school psychologists, and principals. Mockfjärdsskolan has a staff of approximately 80 people with various qualifications and roles. Together, we drive the work and education forward according to each student's ability and towards each student's goals. In this work, you will become an important part.

Responsibilities

In your role as a teacher, you will be responsible for teaching in Physical Education and Health. An important part of this responsibility is working to adapt the learning environment based on the needs you encounter at the individual and group levels, all to meet the students exactly where they are in their development. To fulfill this assignment, you need to have a good ability to plan your subject and lead your students based on the Swedish National Agency for Education's curriculum for compulsory school.

You should also find it easy to create good contacts with guardians and be careful to maintain clear documentation regarding your students. You will, individually and together with your colleagues, plan, implement, and evaluate the pedagogical work based on the school's steering documents. Together with other mentors in the work team, you contribute to creating a holistic view of the student. The position may include mentorship, so you must also value the work of building relationships with your students.

Qualifications

As a teacher, you need to have the ability to see your students' changing needs and interests. You need to have an inclusive approach to work, based on good pedagogical insight with a well-thought-out view of knowledge and students. If you have knowledge and experience of working with students' varying challenges related to NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), it is an advantage.

Even though your main task is to be responsible for teaching in your classes, it is important that you have a holistic perspective and interest in the entire school's development work. To thrive in the role, it is therefore important that you place great value on collaboration with other professions at the school, that you are structured but still flexible, and thus quickly able to adapt to changed circumstances.

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Physical Education and Health. For the position, it is important that you are accustomed to working with digital tools in a learning process.

Conditions

The position is a permanent employment with a scope of 100%.

The start date is August 10, 2026, or according to agreement. Prior to employment, a teaching certificate and a valid extract from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register must be presented.
