Teacher for Ljungbergsgymnasiet in Borlänge
Ljungbergsgymnasiet is an adapted upper secondary school in Borlänge offering seven national programs and one individual program. All programs are four years long. Students at Ljungbergsgymnasiet come from mainstream or adapted primary education and have the right to attend an adapted upper secondary school.
An adapted upper secondary school aims to provide students with intellectual disabilities with an education tailored to their needs, creating a solid foundation for the future.

Job Responsibilities
We are looking for an engaged and confident teacher for our adapted upper secondary school. You will teach mathematics, English, and potentially other subjects based on your qualifications.
As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching based on the students' individual needs and prerequisites. You work with small teaching groups where relationship building and clear structure are central parts of the role.
You:
- Teach mathematics, English, and potentially other subjects.
- Adapt teaching based on students' cognitive and social prerequisites.
- Work with clarifying pedagogy and alternative working methods.
- Collaborate closely with student assistants, colleagues, and student health services.
- Contribute to students' knowledge development, independence, and participation.
You are a confident and sensitive adult who finds it easy to build good relationships with students. You contribute to a positive, permissive, and secure classroom climate where students have the opportunity to develop at their own pace. You are creative, solution-focused, and see the potential in every student.
Qualifications
Basic requirements for the position:
- Very good oral and written skills in Swedish.
Personal qualities:
- Sensitive and easy to collaborate with, with the ability to build good relationships with students.
- Ability to create a permissive and secure classroom climate.
- Ability to individualize and adapt teaching, being clear, structured, solution-focused, and flexible in your working approach.
Meritorious qualifications:
- Authorized teacher, preferably with qualifications in mathematics, Swedish, and English.
- Experience working with students in need of special support, preferably in adapted schools.
- Experience with Unikum or similar platforms.
- Experience working with a low-affective and inclusive approach.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
Employment Terms
- Salary: Monthly salary.
- Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
- Duration: 6 months or longer.
- Working hours: Daytime.
