The latest opinion poll from Demoskop, published on May 28, 2026, and conducted between May 17 and 24, shows minor movements among the Swedish parliamentary parties. The Social Democrats decline slightly compared to the previous measurement from the same institute, while the Green Party and Christian Democrats see the largest percentage point increases. The measurement should be viewed in its historical context and is not an up-to-date aggregation of the current opinion landscape.
In this Demoskop poll, the Social Democrats receive 31.9 percent, a decrease of 1.3 percentage points since the last measurement. The Sweden Democrats stand at 19.0 percent, down 0.9 percentage points. The Moderates increase slightly to 16.7 percent (+0.2). The Left Party rises to 7.6 percent (+0.5).
The Green Party and Christian Democrats are the parties that increase the most compared to the previous Demoskop measurement, while the Liberals lose ground and fall clearly below the parliamentary threshold.
Most changes are small and fall within what can often be normal statistical fluctuations between measurements. The most notable decrease is for the Social Democrats with a 1.3 percentage point drop, while the Green Party and Christian Democrats both increase by 0.9 percentage points. The Liberals decrease from 4.0 to 3.1 percent and are thus below the parliamentary threshold in this measurement, which they have also been in many other polls during the spring.
The Left Party increases slightly, and the Center Party remains close to its previous result. The Sweden Democrats and Moderates change marginally.
It is important to remember that a single measurement can be influenced by chance, and small differences do not always reflect a genuine trend. Comparisons with other institutes recently show that the Social Democrats often hover around 32–34 percent, while the Sweden Democrats and Moderates are around 17–20 percent. The Green Party and Christian Democrats have usually been just above or around the threshold, but in this measurement, both are clearly over 4 percent.
The Liberals, however, remain below the threshold in several other polls, which may signal a difficult period for the party. To get a comprehensive picture of the opinion landscape, it is recommended to look at current aggregated figures on the opinion page.
In this Demoskop measurement, the Liberals are below the 4-percent threshold at 3.1 percent. The Christian Democrats and Green Party are both well above the threshold, with 5.7 and 8.1 percent respectively. The Center Party stands at 6.0 percent, providing some margin upward.
