Your responsibilities

As a teacher in Leksand Municipality, you work pedagogically and socially based on the operations' goals and guidelines, as well as current regulatory documents. You are responsible for the pedagogical content of the teaching and work to promote students' learning and development. As a lead teacher, you drive school development with a focus on teaching quality and high goal achievement. You are well rooted in current research, and systematic quality work is a natural part of your work process.

You will work as a teacher in grades 1-6 based on your qualifications and competence. The responsibilities include collaboration with colleagues as well as communication with students, guardians, and other authorities. In the role of lead teacher, you will work with school development based on various assignments with the aim of developing teaching quality and increasing students' goal achievement. The assignment includes mentorship and guidance at group and individual levels. As a lead teacher, you will be part of a lead teacher network and contribute to experience sharing and collegial conversations within the municipality's various schools.

Your profile

• We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher with at least several years of well-recognized work in teaching
• Good computer skills are important for handling the profession of a teacher in Leksand Municipality.
• Meritorious with previous experience of lead teacher assignments, experience of school development assignments

As a person, you are flexible and solution-oriented and have a good ability to see situations from a holistic perspective. You are clear, secure, and creative, and have the ability to inspire both students and colleagues. You enjoy collaborating in teams and creating good conditions for collegial learning that contributes to development at the individual, group, and organizational levels. About the workplace

Siljansnäs School is a F-6 school with an after-school center, beautifully located in Siljansnäs, approx. 1.5 miles outside central Leksand, with proximity to a rich nature and cultural life. The school has three work teams - grades F-3 and grades 4-6, as well as the after-school center. Collaboration for pedagogical development is central, and the principal's area also includes Gärde, Tällberg, and Ullvi schools as collaboration partners to enable rich collegial learning. In addition, Leksand schools collaborate continuously on various targeted competence development initiatives.
