Främbyskolan is a primary school (grades F-6) with approximately 300 students. The compulsory school and after-school program are organized into work teams that collaborate closely to support each student's development. The organization's greatest asset is our educators, who possess solid competence and strong commitment.

We continuously work on our pedagogical, social, and physical learning environment and have an unusually rich access to forests, meadows, and lakes in the immediate vicinity. We are well-equipped to conduct outdoor activities and pedagogical operations outdoors during all seasons. Our school premises and indoor auxiliary spaces also create opportunities for various types of physical and aesthetic learning processes.

Students at Främbyskolan are encouraged to be independent, creative, and responsible. At the same time, we are a profession-driven organization where all staff bear the ultimate responsibility for creating the conditions necessary for every student to succeed.

We currently work in teams organized around student groups F-1, 2-3, and 4-6. The position offers the possibility of placement in the F-1 or 2-3 team.

Responsibilities

As an after-school educator, you will conduct pedagogical activities with students in close dialogue and collaboration with colleagues. You will plan, teach, and evaluate activities based on the Swedish National Curriculum for Compulsory School, Preschool Class and the After-School Program (Lgr 22), and make your planning visible to guardians and other colleagues at the school through our digital platform. The planned activities are evaluated systematically and continuously throughout the year in consultation with the collegium, meaning that collegial learning is constantly present.

Qualifications

Requirements for the role:

• Primarily, we look for you to have pedagogical education or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• You are well-acquainted with the regulatory documents for the after-school program.
• You have experience working with school social interventions to promote student success.

We see you as a creative educator who finds it easy to collaborate with students, guardians, and colleagues. Furthermore, you must possess the ability to develop your own teaching based on the students' needs. You are confident in the pedagogical role, work with a strong belief in all students' abilities, and are expected to be active in the school's development work.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Previous experience working in pedagogical activities.
• Previous experience or education in safety-promoting work.
• Experience with motivational interviewing.
• Experience working with students living with diabetes.

Employment Terms

Permanent full-time position, start date by agreement. Probationary period may apply if required.
