Description

The Adapted Primary School in Mora has approximately 40 students and is located at Noretskolan and Morkarlbyhöjdens skola. Grades 1-3 have premises in a separate building at Morkarlbyhöjdens skola, while grades 4-9 are located at Noretskolan. We have two after-school centers.

Responsibilities

You are responsible for teaching in subject areas/subjects, planning, implementation, and evaluation based on the curriculum, where values-based work is a natural part. Teaching is conducted both within subject areas and specific subjects, focusing on the student's development, participation, and learning. You lead and organize the teaching, distribute work in the classroom, and mentor and guide pedagogical resources.

You collaborate with colleagues and professionals within the Student Health Unit regarding everyday issues continuously in teaching, as well as in collegial development work.

In your role as a special needs teacher, you will, together with colleagues, contribute to providing students with the guidance and stimulation they need for their learning and personal development. Together, we build a workplace with engagement and positive cooperation, so that students can reach their full potential based on the goals of education.

You actively participate in the school's systematic development work.

Qualifications

• You are a certified teacher with a degree in special education, specializing in intellectual disability.
• You have a solution-focused approach to work.
• You have the ability to build secure relationships.
• You master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
• You are meticulous and structured in your documentation.
• You have knowledge and experience in using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), visual supports, and other compensatory aids, as well as digital learning tools.
• You are relational, sensitive, and clear in your pedagogical leadership and have the ability to motivate and create learning environments focused on inclusion and student influence.
• You have a low-affective approach to interactions and can handle stressful situations. You are a clear and secure leader in the classroom.
• You have experience and competence to drive school development issues, and pedagogical discussions interest you.
• You are well-versed in current regulatory documents and have good ICT skills.
