Description

We are looking for a staff member for our resource school, Ängsskolan. We are seeking a teacher for grades 4-9. We would prefer that you have qualifications in mathematics, science, or technology.

The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in working with students who face significant challenges in school. Ängsskolan's target group consists of students who have extensive needs for adjustments and support in their school situation. The educators at Ängsskolan are responsible for planning and conducting teaching for all students at the school. Work at Ängsskolan takes place in close collaboration between the principal and the various professions within the Student Health Unit. Together, we create a high-quality school focused on accessible learning, knowledge development, and social development. The educators' duties also include documenting, following up, and evaluating the adjustments and support measures the student needs, in collaboration with the student, guardians, and the Student Health Unit. Continuous supervision and some training are included in the position.

Qualifications

Knowledge:

  • Teacher's degree including teacher certification.
  • Good knowledge of current steering documents and legislation.
  • Proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills and experience with documentation.

Skills:

  • Very good pedagogical insight regarding students with special needs.
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Excellent teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to receive supervision and follow and maintain established structures.

Other:

  • Practical experience working with students with developmental disabilities and experience with clarifying pedagogy.
