Stiernhööksgymnasiet is beautifully located by the shore of Lake Siljan and is a high school with approximately 500 students. It is a unique high school with proud traditions and a student body from all over Sweden. The school has documented high goal achievement with very good educational quality. The school offers the Construction and Infrastructure program, the Economics program, the Electricity and Energy program, the Natural Resources program (with specializations in animal care, horse keeping, and agriculture), the Natural Science program, the Social Science program, as well as the four introductory programs. The school also offers adapted national programs for upper secondary school; Forestry, Land and Animals, and Property, Infrastructure and Construction. Additionally, the school offers National Sports Education (NIU) in equestrian sports and bandy, as well as Local Sports Education (LIU) in various sports. The school has a student dormitory with over 130 beds, as well as food production within the framework of the agricultural education. Parts of the production are served at the municipality's kitchens. Rättvik thus has Sweden's most locally produced school food.

Job Description

As a teacher with us, you teach on both university-preparatory programs and vocational programs. You work closely with colleagues in work teams and subject teams and are involved in the school's pedagogical development.

The assignment includes mentorship. You may also be responsible for examinations and re-readings, as well as performing other tasks associated with the teaching role.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified high school teacher in Physical Education and Health, preferably in combination with at least one other subject. You have a strong commitment to the students' development and want to make a difference in their schooling. If you have experience of teaching in high school, especially on sports education and vocational programs, we see this as meritorious. It may also be relevant to teach in the subjects of special sports, sports specialization, and competition theory within NIU-bandy and LIU-hockey.

We value your ability to create safe and trusting relationships that strengthen students' motivation and learning. You have good didactic competence and clear, present leadership in the classroom.
