In Ludvika, children and young people are important! We demonstrate this by placing children and young people at the center of the municipal organization. Most resources directed towards children and young people have been consolidated under a single board. This includes preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, and individual and family care. What all these operations have in common is a conscious quality work aimed at continuously developing and improving the work with children and young people.
The Workplace
Vasaskolan is a place where learning is at the center – a learning that strengthens knowledge, solidarity, and self-esteem, and equips students for the future in an open and respectful society. At Vasaskolan, we have created a safe and inclusive community where every student and employee should feel seen, respected, and significant.
Here, you will encounter an environment characterized by trust, curiosity, and joy. We believe in positive relationships between adults and students as the foundation for all learning. We encourage both students and teachers to dare to try, challenge themselves, and develop their own drive. We see diversity as a strength and actively work to ensure everyone has the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites. Among other things, we work with translanguage teaching and various communication strategies in collaboration between school and after-school centers. A crucial factor for Vasaskolan’s vision is that we work together on planning, follow-up, assessment, and organization. At our school, students progress from preschool class to grade 6, and in each grade, there are teachers, after-school teachers, and teaching assistants as needed. You will join a workplace with good cohesion where there is always a colleague nearby for support and help if needed.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a qualified teacher with specialization and further education in Swedish and Swedish as a second language. You have a positive view of people and have the ability to create good relationships as well as the ability to prevent and resolve conflicts. You are meticulous, flexible, and sensitive to the students' needs, and you enjoy working with children and young people.
