Our schools are located in the northern part of Avesta Municipality, close to green areas. The schools have after-school centers and maintain close cooperation with the preschool. We work consciously and systematically with school development, both in the short and long term. We believe that collaboration and collegial learning are the keys to raising and strengthening the competence of our staff at Johan-Olovskolan and By skola. Therefore, our employees at our schools are part of work teams and subject groups, where everyone plays an important role in our joint work and strive to develop the schools' operations.

By skola and Johan-Olovskolan are looking for a PE teacher. The position involves responsibility for teaching physical education and health at two schools, primarily in grades 1–6. As a PE teacher, you will plan, conduct, and evaluate the teaching individually and together with colleagues in work teams. An important part of the job is to systematically follow the students' knowledge development, both formatively and summatively, according to current guidelines. The duties include collaborating with other teachers and school staff to contribute to our schools' focus on movement. You should ensure that adaptations are a natural part of your teaching practice based on our students' different needs and prerequisites.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to motivate and create engagement while also being a clear leader. You are confident in yourself, and through your way of leading and organizing, you create inclusive, safe, and educational teaching. We are convinced that order, clarity, and transparency, combined with sensitivity and care, bring out the best in our students. Good judgment and high integrity are important as we want you to be an adult role model for the students, not just leading based on existing routines but also taking ethical considerations into account.

We are looking for someone who is communicative and has the ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and other actors around the student. Your pedagogical strength lies in your ability to adapt teaching based on results, follow-up evaluations, and the individual student's needs. To achieve this, you need to have a good understanding of how different people absorb information and knowledge, as well as the ability to adapt your teaching style at both group and individual levels.

A permanent employment requires that you have a teacher's license. Other pedagogically oriented degrees and/or experience working as a PE teacher at the primary school level are meritorious.
