Coordinator for Scheduling, Administration, and Staffing
Ödeshög Municipality is located in southwestern Östergötland, with Omberg to the north, Vättern to the west, the fertile Östergötland plain to the east, and the deep forests of Holaveden to the south. The E4 highway runs through the municipality, making it easy to reach both Linköping and Jönköping by car in 40 minutes. Approximately 5,400 people live in Ödeshög Municipality, which is the largest employer in the area with around 400 permanent employees across four different departments.
We are proud of our municipality and our employees for several reasons. 30% of the food served in elderly care and schools is prepared using locally sourced ingredients. This, and much more, makes Ödeshög an attractive municipality to both live and work in. In 2025, Ödeshög Municipality ranked 19th on Svenskt Näringsliv's company ranking.
Ödeshög is a small municipality with great opportunities. We have short decision-making paths, a good business climate, and excellent opportunities for recreation. Ödeshög is a safe place where it is especially good to live, work, and thrive. From fertile soil, rich forests, and clear water, we build the future together.
You are warmly welcome to join us!
About Your Workplace, the Base Unit
The Base Unit is a relatively new department responsible for staffing, administration, and scheduling.
The unit consists of a total of 6 coordinators with slightly different roles. There is one coordinator who primarily supports recruitment and administration, a welfare coordinator, and 4 coordinators focused on the staffing side, where you will be joining!
As a coordinator, you act as an extended employer function, meaning you provide both operational and managerial support in your role. You will work alongside your colleagues at Solgården Elderly Center, which is the municipality's nursing home and a central hub for many within healthcare and social care.
Your working hours will include occasional weekend work, approximately every 4th week, and occasionally on public holidays. This is necessary because healthcare and social care is a 24/7 operation, requiring staffing coverage during weekends as well.

Job Responsibilities
In the role of coordinator for scheduling, administration, and staffing, your primary tasks will include managing daily operations for temporary staff, detailed planning within home care services, and working with schedules and administration.
Detailed planning involves scheduling user services against employee work schedules to ensure all services can be provided in daily operations. Vacancy management involves handling sick leave notifications, filling vacancies where needed, and booking our pool staff into operations as required.
Scheduling involves creating sick leave schedules, maintaining existing work schedules, and actively updating schedule prerequisites in our scheduling and staffing system, such as competencies and staffing needs. We currently use Visma Medvind for both temporary staff booking and scheduling.
As a coordinator, you will also provide managerial support to managers, assisting them with certain administrative tasks.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have post-secondary education in personnel administration, economics, or another education that the employer deems equivalent. Since you will be working within healthcare and social care, we consider it important that you have previous experience in this field, either through long-term work in the sector or in a planning role within a similar operation. Furthermore, we look for prior experience in administrative work.
Additionally, we value good knowledge or interest in staffing economics, the ability to convert statistics into usable formats, and knowledge of laws and regulations regarding working time planning. We also expect you to have good system proficiency.
We also look for someone who can work independently, take initiative, and structure their work. You are organized, solution-oriented, communicative, service-minded, and have high integrity. It is also important that you have good collaboration skills and can prioritize under time pressure.
Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-09-01. Start date is subject to agreement.
Working hours: Shift schedule.
Ödeshög Municipality applies individual salary setting. Probation may be applied during the initial 6 months. Before employment, a background check may be conducted, and we will inform you if this is the case.
If you are a job seeker with a protected identity, please call the recruiting manager (see above in the advertisement) to ask how your application should be handled.
We kindly but firmly decline to be contacted by external recruitment agencies.
We look forward to receiving your application!
