The Management Support Department is located within the Citizen Service business area, which operates 122 service offices. The Management Support team is responsible for coordinating the business area's operational monitoring, business development, projects, system support, internal communication, and competence development initiatives. The team also coordinates bilateral collaboration with the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Migration Agency, the Swedish Pensions Agency, and the Swedish Tax Agency. The department has 22 employees and is divided into two units: the Business Control Unit and the Development and Coordination Unit. The Business Control Unit includes project managers, investigators, and business developers, while the Development and Coordination Unit consists of business developers, project managers, and administrators.
The Business Control Unit is responsible for issues related to AI, business presence, welfare crimes, digital inclusion, international coordination, horizon scanning and analysis, as well as overarching strategies within the business area. We are now looking for two experienced business developers who wish to contribute to the transformation outlined in our strategic plan extending to 2030. The plan covers four development areas: our mission, business presence, equipment and development, and our employees. Main Responsibilities
As a Business Developer within the service office operations, you lead and drive assignments, projects, or preliminary studies aimed at developing local state services. The assignments are primarily business-related but may occasionally involve IT and technology development. You work closely with the business operations, the department's other business developers, project managers, investigators, and administrative managers, collaborating closely with support and leadership functions within the agency, as well as our partner agencies and occasionally other external stakeholders. If you lead projects, this is done according to the PPS project management model.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- A relevant academic degree or equivalent education that the employer deems relevant for the position
- At least five years of experience as a business developer in public sector operations or in customer-facing organizations
- Experience as a project manager, preliminary study leader, or assignment leader
- Experience working cross-functionally, close to operations, and with a holistic perspective
- Experience collaborating with other agencies or organizations with different goals
- Competence in needs assessment, requirement specification, as well as benefit calculation and realization
- Experience in change management
Furthermore, you should possess the following skills:
- Be proactive and results-oriented
- Create good collaboration with both internal and external parties
- Be able to communicate information clearly so that others understand
- Be able to handle, and be stimulated by, having many different contact points
- Be structured and able to quickly grasp new issues
- Have good leadership qualities and be able to inspire engagement in others
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience using AI tools to optimize operations
- Competence in horizon scanning and analysis
- Experience working at a state agency
Other Information
The two positions are fixed-term contracts at 100% until February 28, 2027. One or both positions may be extended.
We typically apply a six-month probationary period.
Start date by agreement.
The positions are located in Sundbyberg.
