Main Responsibilities

As a Chief Coordinator, you will belong to the Military Region Headquarters and be part of the Chief Support Division. Your primary role is to provide administrative support to the Military Region Commander, the Deputy Commander, the Regional Administrator, and the Chief of Staff. Your main task is to serve as the Chief's administrative support and assist in coordinating participation in various operations. The duties are varied and include, among other things:

• Support the Military Region leadership with meeting bookings and calendar management.
• Prepare, conduct, and take minutes at meetings.
• Handle and draft correspondence in the Swedish Armed Forces' case management system.
• Manage bookings and orders of various kinds.
• Support with other routine administrative tasks.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Current work experience such as Management Assistant/Assistant/Executive Assistant or equivalent, as assessed by the employer as relevant for the position.
• At least five years of relevant experience in administrative work within a government agency.
• Completed upper secondary education (high school diploma).
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Good ability to express yourself in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
• Valid B-class driver's license.

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the Recruiting Unit

The Middle Military Region (MR M) is a wartime unit and an organizational entity where the Commander and Staff are located in Kungsängen. The organization consists of the Commander with staff, six training groups for the education and support of the Home Guard, and approximately 7,000 Home Guard soldiers organized in eleven battalions and several independent units.

The Commander of the Middle Military Region with the regional staff leads subordinate units, collaborates with regional and local actors, leads security and intelligence services, and supports operational and tactical commanders resolving tasks within the region. The region also serves as a link between the Swedish Armed Forces and civil society, maintaining active cooperation with the County Administrative Board and the Region. As needed, MR M also leads operations, for example, during national crisis situations and support to society. The Military Region performs tasks in peace, crisis, and war.

The Middle Military Region's organization and area of responsibility cover the geographical counties of Stockholm, Uppsala, Södermanland, Västmanland, Dalarna, and Gävleborg. Training groups and the Home Guard are present in each county.
