The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individualized compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse problems. Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Controller and Specialist in Financial Management who wants to help develop the management of one of Sweden's largest government agencies.
In this role, you will combine qualified controller duties with development work. You will drive and develop the agency's financial management, budget process, follow-up models, and analytical capabilities. You will serve as a strategic support to leadership and managers, contributing analyses that strengthen the organization's ability to make well-informed decisions.
You will play a key role in developing financial management within a large and complex organization. You will provide specialist expertise in government budgeting, follow-up, analysis, and control, while driving initiatives that strengthen the agency's ability to plan, monitor, and steer operations.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- A university or college degree in economics, or another education that the employer deems equivalent.
- Current experience in developing financial management in large organizations.
- Experience in creating or further developing budget, forecast, or resource allocation models.
- Excellent communication skills in Swedish, both verbal and written.
Meritorious Qualifications:
- Experience from a large government agency with its own operational activities.
- Experience working with controlling or accounting within the public sector.
- Knowledge of Qlik, Hypergene, Power BI, and Unit 4 Business World.
To succeed in this role, you must be meticulous, responsible, and able to organize and prioritize your work to ensure timely and high-quality output. You work well with complex issues, possess strong analytical skills, and collaborate effectively with your surroundings. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Employment
The position is a fixed-term contract for 12 months. Start date as soon as possible, by agreement.
