We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for a comprehensive digitalization and transformation program within one of Sweden's largest public sector organizations, focusing on socially vital services. This assignment is part of a larger program where several central IT areas are developed in parallel, and you will play a key role in establishing the program's future support function.

This is a consulting assignment starting as soon as possible and running until June 2027, with good opportunities for extension.

About the Assignment

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for planning, leading, and establishing a modern support function to support the program's users, operations, and external suppliers. The role combines strategic work with operational execution and involves close collaboration between operations, IT, and several different project streams.

You will drive the work from planning and process design to implementation and handover to operations.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will among other things:

• Lead the establishment of the program's support function
• Define the target vision, working methods, and support processes
• Design incident, case, and escalation processes
• Develop SLAs, routines, and support documentation
• Ensure an efficient handover between project and operations
• Create onboarding processes, training materials, guides, and checklists
• Coordinate operations, IT, and external suppliers
• Drive communication and change management related to the implementation
• Be responsible for project planning, risk management, budget monitoring, and status reporting
• Ensure quality, structure, and delivery according to the project's goals

We are looking for someone who has

• At least 10 years of experience in project management within IT or the establishment of support functions
• Experience leading strategic and operational work within IT Service Management (ITSM)
• Several years of experience from larger organizations with complex IT environments
• Experience from healthcare or other regulated industries
• Good experience collaborating with both operations and technical teams
• A structured work approach with a focus on quality, risk management, and delivery
• Very good communication skills in both Swedish and English

Meritorious

It is particularly meritorious if you have experience with:

• Establishing or developing larger support organizations
• Feasibility studies and investigations within support or service desk operations
• Creating onboarding processes and training materials
• Procurement and implementation of case management or Contact Center solutions
• Support operations with high availability requirements (24/7)
• COPC certification
