The Role of Business Developer

As a Business Developer, you work at the intersection of business development, change management, and sales development. You play a central role in developing, implementing, and monitoring working methods, processes, and support systems that contribute to strengthening the sales organization's ability to achieve set goals.

In this role, you work closely with the sales organization and other parts of the business to identify development opportunities, create efficient working methods, and ensure that processes, tools, and system support are used effectively.

You drive development initiatives through the entire lifecycle, from analysis and needs assessment to execution, implementation, and follow-up. A key part of the role is to analyze the business's processes, tools, and system support to identify areas for improvement that contribute to increased goal achievement and business benefit.

You are also responsible for:

  • supporting the sales organization in matters concerning processes, system support, and competence development.

  • evaluating and developing support tools used within the Sales Organization.

  • developing relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) and contributing to the follow-up and analysis of sales work.

  • facilitating workshops and meetings to gather needs, ideas, and perspectives from the business.

  • driving change initiatives by initiating, leading, training, implementing, and following up on development projects.

  • producing decision support materials and analyses to support sales management.

  • being a driving force in business analysis and operational planning.

What do you bring to the role?

We are looking for someone with a development-oriented and proactive approach, who thrives in a role that allows you to combine analysis, structure, and collaboration with many different parts of the organization.

You are accustomed to working consultatively and cross-functionally and have the ability to create engagement around new working methods, tools, and processes. Through your structured approach and communication skills, you can lead dialogues, facilitate workshops, and translate business needs into concrete solutions.

To succeed in the role, we believe you have:

  • experience with consultative assignments focused on business development.

  • experience in driving and leading change projects.

  • practical experience in sales or sales management.

  • experience in developing and implementing strategies.

  • strong ability to analyze sales data and key performance indicators.

  • Experience in driving competence development initiatives within sales and contributing to developing a culture characterized by learning and continuous improvement.

  • very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • experience with CRM systems and other sales support tools.

  • ability to create and drive cross-functional collaboration.

  • A university degree in economics, engineering/technology, or other relevant education deemed equivalent.

As a person, you are analytical and strategic with strong business acumen. You are communicative, relationship-building, and find it easy to collaborate with different functions and levels in the organization.

You also have a strong commitment to development and change, as well as good digital competence. Samhall's values are important to you, and in your work, you are attentive, reliable, and engaged.
