The Child and Education Department has approximately 800 employees. The department's operations cover the entire municipality and include preschool, compulsory school (grades F-9), adapted compulsory school, after-school centers, catering and facility maintenance, mother tongue instruction, and library services.

Rödön School (grades F-6) is located on Rödön and has approximately 100 students. We work in close collaboration to create holistic solutions for the students. The work is based on the student's opportunity for development and learning throughout the day. There are great opportunities for you to use your knowledge and experience to further develop the organization's working methods together with your colleagues.

A day as a student assistant with special responsibility at Rödön School and the after-school center

You welcome your students at 07:50 when the school day begins. Perhaps you have supervision during the first break, where you meet all students at the school as a secure adult. You work with a smaller student group and have special responsibility for creating good conditions for the students to develop. You work at the after-school center in the afternoons and participate in teaching and planned activities.

You have a clear teaching structure and a relational approach. Inspiring, motivating, and awakening curiosity in students to seek the knowledge they need themselves is another important part of the work, as is supporting students in their personal development so that they function socially in society.

Together with your colleagues, you contribute to creating a good working environment for students and staff. Within the framework of school development, we work with safety, well-being, and study peace. You are part of the team, and based on your experience and engagement, your assignment becomes important!

Your qualifications

You are trained as a student assistant or have other pedagogical education with a license.

You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and can implement them in daily work.

We would also like you to have the following competencies or experiences:

It is meritorious if you have experience working as a teacher and are confident and engaged in your role as a leader in a classroom. It is also meritorious if you have qualifications in Swedish and mathematics, as well as experience working with students in grades F-3 and 4-6.

You have the empathetic ability to understand students' needs and meet them where they are, as well as the ability to listen, encourage, stimulate, and challenge them to further development.

Other information

The position is a permanent full-time (100%) employment with an start date of 2026-08-10.
