Sörgårdsskolan in Brunflo is located approximately two miles outside of Östersund, beautifully situated with sports facilities, a swimming pool, and fine forest areas near the school. The school currently has approximately 110 students in age-homogeneous classes in grades Pre-K to 3.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in the after-school program (fritidshem) at Sörgårdsskolan, you will conduct teaching in the after-school setting together with other educators and participate as a resource in school work in one or more classes. You work in the school's work team where, together with colleagues, you carry out activities that follow set goals.

The after-school program has two departments. At the after-school center, we conduct our main systematic quality work and competence development primarily on about 6-7 planning days, partly simultaneously with school, evening work sessions about 5-6 times per year, approx. 4 PM - 6 PM, in addition to individual and departmental planning.

Both the school and the after-school program are active in the values concept PAX, which aims to create calm, safety, joy, and study peace. We constantly work to develop learning for students and staff in the after-school program through planned free play and guided activities to achieve goals and central content in the Curriculum.

Great importance is placed on developing students' social skills so that they can take responsibility for themselves and others.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications for the after-school program, but we are also happy to receive unqualified personnel with equivalent education and experience. We would like you to have good cooperation skills, a willingness to develop, and generally be a calm and stable person who puts the student first.

You understand that many children need support in social interaction and that we adults have a clear role in being a support in this work.
