About Duved School

Duved School is a magnificent building located near forests, mountains, and water, inaugurated in 2022. The school is built in wood, which creates pleasant indoor environments while also contributing to a low climate impact. It is a comprehensive school (grades 1-9) with approximately 80 employees and 570 students. The teachers hold high qualifications, and students graduate with good academic standing.

Our vision and ambition are to jointly create a school environment that continuously develops positive interpersonal relationships. We work continuously with our value base and values. Safety and a calm work environment give students good opportunities to develop their abilities and knowledge, both in school and into the future.

The school has a mountain profile with a focus on three areas:

• Mountains, tourism, and business.
• Forests and environment, culture, local heritage, and history.
• Outdoor life, skiing, and mountain tours.

The purpose is to provide knowledge and experiences associated with the mountainous surroundings and their phenomena. The goal is for all children and young people at Duved School to feel proud of their home region and have knowledge of the values present in mountainous environments.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as a teacher for grades 4-6, you will work with your team to improve the quality of pedagogical work and participate in development projects with other teachers. The role includes overall responsibility for the students' social and academic development. You are responsible for systematically documenting, analyzing, evaluating, and following up on student learning.

We are looking for teachers qualified to teach all theoretical subjects as well as visual arts.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and preferably have subject-specific qualifications.

• Complete what is started and meet deadlines.
• Handle stress constructively and maintain a good mood under pressure and during setbacks.
• Have an easy time understanding others' situations, listening, understanding, and showing consideration.

Employment Type

Permanent position. The position is vacant provided there is no surplus staff, need for reassignment, or priority rights within the municipality. Probationary period may apply.
