About Us

Would you like to help create a safe, fun, educational, and equitable preschool for all children? We are currently seeking two preschool teachers starting in autumn 2026 – one position at Mosippans Preschool and one at Balders Hage.

Mosippans Preschool and Balders Hage are two municipal preschools in Östersund Municipality where the child's safety, development, and learning are at the center. We are characterized by a positive view of children, starting from the competent child and meeting every individual with curiosity, engagement, and respect.

Balders Hage is located in the Marielund area and is Östersund Municipality's oldest preschool. The preschool has three departments with mixed-age groups of children and a large, lush yard with wooded areas that inspire play, movement, and exploration.

Mosippans Preschool is a multicultural preschool with six departments where language, play, and the joy of learning permeate the education. Here, diversity and children's experiences are seen as assets in the pedagogical work.

At both preschools, we create safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environments where children get to explore the world through play, language, and interaction. Language development is a central part of the education, and we work consciously to give children rich opportunities to communicate, express thoughts, and develop their understanding of the world around them.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Licensed preschool teacher
• Good command of Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious

• Previous experience from preschool
• Knowledge of the school's steering documents and the ability to implement them in daily work

We are looking for you

As a preschool teacher, you plan, implement, and develop teaching so that every child gets the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites, needs, and interests. With a clear holistic view and strong pedagogical competence, you create learning environments that promote safety, participation, and curiosity.

You are part of an engaged work team where you together are responsible for planning, teaching, and follow-up. Through good cooperation, reflection, and joint development work, you contribute to strengthening the quality of the education.

You work with high cultural awareness and ensure that children's identity, language, and cultural expressions are given space and value in the education.
