Responsibilities

Berg – a recognized excellent educational municipality! Within preschool and school in Berg Municipality, well-educated and dedicated staff work to provide the municipality's children and young people with the best prerequisites for lifelong learning. Berg Municipality has seven primary schools, two of which extend up to grade nine: Myrviken and Svenstavik. We are looking for you who are interested in, and qualified to, teach mathematics and natural sciences (physics, chemistry, and technology) to our students in grades 6-9 at Svenstavik School.

Your main task as a teacher is to plan, implement, and follow up on teaching. In this role, you work with other staff at the school to reach and strengthen each individual student in their knowledge development. Svenstavik School uses the concept of "super mentorship"; together, we work for the increased development, learning, and influence of all our students in teaching. Our children should have fun, feel safe, and be able to develop according to their own prerequisites. Respect, responsibility, joy, community, and the equal value of all are key words in our operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher with qualifications for teaching in mathematics, natural sciences, or who have other pedagogical education assessed as equivalent. You are well acquainted with the national guidelines for primary school operations and have very good knowledge of the Swedish language (both spoken and written). We consider it an advantage if you have professional experience and experience in systematic development work.

Berg Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we therefore consider it an advantage if you have knowledge of Southern Sami language and culture.

As a person, you are confident and have clear leadership skills. You respect people's different prerequisites and ability to acquire new knowledge. We see that you are trustworthy and have a constructive approach towards students, guardians, and colleagues. You are positive and solution-focused, and have an interest in developing the operations with the student at the center.
