Temporary Position as Preschool Teacher at Stallet and Bäcken Preschools

The Stallet and Bäcken preschools are located in the Odensala district of Östersund and work with mixed-age groups. We are an inspiring workplace where our core values – Fun, Safe, and Educational – are central to the children's development and learning. We have a large yard that invites exploration, play, and movement, as well as walking distance to forests and lakes. In winter, opportunities for skiing and ice skating are available in the local area. Our priority areas are language-developing approaches, health and movement, and leadership at all levels.

Your new job

We are currently looking for a qualified preschool teacher for a temporary position from 2026-08-10 to 2027-06-30.

You will be part of a team where you together plan and take responsibility for the children's education and development. We operate from the belief that all children can and want to learn, and that they are given the opportunity to use and develop their competence in a meaningful context. You are expected to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

You create curiosity and a desire to learn through both planned activities and spontaneous moments. As part of our team, you contribute to a creative and inspiring atmosphere where children thrive and develop.

Typical duties

• Plan and implement activities based on the curriculum.
• Develop pedagogical content that inspires development and learning, while stimulating children's interest, curiosity, and attention.
• Offer every child secure care and promote the development and learning of all children.
• Create learning opportunities based on children's needs and interests, so that all children can develop according to their abilities and prerequisites.
• Work together with colleagues to plan, teach, document, and evaluate the content of the activity.

Your qualifications

• Educated and licensed preschool teacher.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to apply them in daily work.
• Previous experience from preschool is an advantage.

You have a good understanding of people's differences and meet them with attentiveness in teaching and the daily life of the preschool. With a clear holistic view and strong pedagogical insight, you create safe learning environments where every child is seen. Your leadership is stable and respectful, and you take initiatives that drive the activity forward. Through good collaboration, you contribute to positive relationships with colleagues, children, and guardians.

How the recruitment process works

In this recruitment process, we will request an extract from the criminal record register. Interviews may take place on an ongoing basis. We ask you to attach a CV and a cover letter to your application. Grades/certificates do not need to be sent initially, but we ask you to complete these if an interview becomes relevant.
