Together we create a safe and educational start in school! Together we can make a difference – every day.
Do you want to help lay the foundation for children's learning, curiosity, and hope for the future? Are you an engaged teacher who is passionate about the development of the youngest students and about collegial collaboration? Then Fjällängsskolan might be the right workplace for you.
Fjällängsskolan is a school for grades F–6 with approximately 310 students. We are a two-track school with an after-school center (fritidshem) for all students and a generous schoolyard that invites play, movement, and community. The school is located on the outskirts of central Östersund with excellent commuting options via walking and cycling paths as well as public transport.
At our school, the student is at the center. All students should feel safe, included, and responsible. We have a positive view of students and high expectations for both students and adults. Teaching in school and the after-school center is based on the curriculum's value base and mission (Lgr22, parts 1 and 2). We work language-developing in all activities and are aware of our role as adult role models. Collegial learning is central – we develop teaching by learning from and with each other.
Together with students and guardians, we create an activity with a high level of knowledge and strong social competence, to give our students the best prerequisites in life.
