Funäsdalen School has approximately 260 students in grades F-9 (preschool class to grade 9) along with an associated after-school center. The school is beautifully located in the middle of the village at the foot of Funäsdalsberget. We are close to cross-country ski tracks, sports fields, and the gondola that takes us up to the mountain hut. Proximity to nature influences the operations in various ways, and the school literally offers ski-in, ski-out access.

We are now looking for a teacher for Physical Education and Health, grades 1–9. There may also be an opportunity for some time as a resource teacher in grades 4–6. The position is a temporary assignment with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

Your main task is to plan, implement, and follow up on teaching according to the curriculum. You collaborate with colleagues and focus on the students' knowledge development. You are part of a work team where you participate actively and contribute with your own ideas and previous experience. You are flexible and work systematically to create a clear and stimulating learning environment. You have a creative approach and succeed in capturing and creating a desire to learn based on different students' needs. We use digital tools in teaching, which means you need to have good IT skills.

Qualifications

Teacher certification and good knowledge of the school's governing documents are required.

For this position, presenting an extract from the police record of criminal convictions is a prerequisite for employment.

Personal Qualities

You have good leadership skills both inside and outside the classroom, rooted in the school's curriculum and its value base. You are flexible and have the ability to adapt teaching so that all students achieve results. You are a person who can both give and receive help and support.
